What a year! Fantastic output and I missed one or two of these so I appreciate the stockpile of titles and links here.
I will miss the bookclub. It was a tremendous experience--from Mill to Darwin, Shakespeare and Austen--hard to choose a favorite. I couldn't attend the last few meetings because my son's soccer games were moved to Sunday afternoons. (I'm the coach!) But I was reading along with you all.
"In general, the USA travelogue pieces were popular. People overall prefer reading rants and opinion pieces. Alas."
It isn't that we aren't interested in all the things you write. It's just that those travelogue pieces give us insights to YOU as a person, .not just an intelligent, expressive Reader. They show us another dimension of you. That makes us more receptive to everything you write.
And in your annual review, don't forget moving to the United States!
We are glad to have you and your family here.
Dana
Thanks Henry. All the best for 2026. John

I’m watching your discussion with John Mullen now which is so good. Thank you both!
Love this!
