There was some discussion on the call today about where/how to watch some of the plays, so I thought I'd share some links that have been helpful to me. There's a good chance that not all of these will be helpful to most people, but maybe at least one of them will.

1. Drama Online library: https://www.dramaonlinelibrary.com/login?recentUrl=/. They have several Globe productions online. I was able to log in through my library and watch the Globe's 2014 production of a Comedy of Errors. I work for a university in the US, so the bevvy of services the library is subscribed to is pretty generous. I'm not confident this would be available to most people.

2. Kanopy: https://www.kanopy.com/ Signing in with my card from my local (non-university affiliated) library gives me access to I believe all of the BBC's 1980s productions of Shakespeare's complete works. The sound quality isn't the best, but at least for Richard III I thought the acting/staging was quite good. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_Television_Shakespeare.) I'm not sure if the catalog is the same for all libraries, but if your library grants access to Kanopy, check it out.

3. Hoopla: https://www.hoopladigital.com/my/hoopla. This one I also use with my non-university affiliated library card, and via their mobile app I can download the Arkangel Shakespeare series of audio productions of the complete works of Shakespeare. These productions work far better than I would have expected (there's a full cast, musical interludes, sound effects). The voice actors are generally really good, and I've listened to at least a dozen Shakespeare plays over the past few years this way, often whilst driving or exercising or doing the dishes. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arkangel_Shakespeare.)

Generally my process so far (for this book club) has been to read the play and then either watch or listen to it. That may not be ideal for everyone, but I've found I personally get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
